lychee margarita

Ingredients

1 cup lychee juice (from canned lychees) 4 fresh or canned lychees (for garnish) 1/4 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed) 1/4 cup orange liqueur (like Triple Sec or Cointreau) 1/2 cup silver tequila 1 tablespoon simple syrup (optional) Ice cubes Sugar or salt for rimming the glass

Step 1:

Pour a little lime juice onto a plate. On another plate, spread some sugar or salt. Dip the rim of a glass into the lime juice, then dip it into the sugar or salt to coat the edge. Of course, this is an optional step. 

Step 2:

In a cocktail shaker, add lychee juice, lime juice, orange liqueur, tequila, and simple syrup (if using). Fill the shaker with ice cubes. 

Step 3:

Close the shaker and shake it hard for about 20 seconds to mix everything.
