As a lover of Pokeworks meals, especially their sauces I’m so happy today to share my Copycat Pokeworks Classic Sauce because I explored so many versions online and to be honest most of them were far away from making anything close to the original one.

This is not my first time making a copycat Pokeworks sauce since I already tried to make their Virgo and Aries sauces before but unfortunately, both of them turned out really bad but finally, I can say this one feels like a success at least a little and of course, I’ll wait for your feedback too. The basic ingredients for making this Copycat Pokeworks Classic Sauce are soy sauce honey sesame oil rice vinegar and some other simple seasonings.

You will love the Pokeworks Classic Sauce because it mixes so many flavors together since it brings sweetness and saltiness and a little sour taste all in one and it goes well with fish and rice and veggies and you can make at home since you only need a few things that are already in your kitchen.

Variations

You can change this Pokeworks Classic Sauce by adding more sriracha if you want it spicier or you can skip spice if you want it mild and perfect for kids.

Also, You can add more honey if you love it sweet sauce or even make a lighter version by using low sodium soy sauce or add a spoon of water to make it softer in flavor and if you run out of rice vinegar you can squeeze in a bit of lemon juice and it will still taste fresh and bright.

Substitutions

If you do not have soy sauce then you can use tamari or coconut aminos since they taste almost the same and they are great also if you have no sesame oil you can try olive oil which gives a lighter flavor. Rice vinegar can be replaced with apple cider vinegar or even white vinegar and honey can be swapped with agave syrup or brown sugar since both add sweetness.

Also, If you have no fresh ginger you can use ground ginger and if you have no garlic you can use garlic powder which works fine plus You can skip mirin if you don’t have it or use a few drops of sweet white wine instead and if you want to make it gentle you can replace sriracha with ketchup so it stays mild.

Tips for making the best Pokeworks classic sauce

To make the best Pokeworks Classic Sauce you should always taste as you go as this is a copycat recipe, The first time I made it I didn’t know how the taste would be so you can find the perfect balance between sweet and salty and spicy, since everyone likes a different flavor.

Fresh ginger and garlic make it taste stronger and more alive so try to use them whenever you can also Mix slowly and carefully so the flavors come together nicely and if you want a very smooth sauce as I love then use a whisk instead of a spoon because it helps everything blend better.

When you finish making it store it in a glass jar with a tight lid so it stays fresh for longer in the fridge. Let it rest for half an hour before you use it so the flavors have time to mix and become full and when you are ready to use it remember to shake or stir it because the heavier ingredients might sit at the bottom.
