I have a nice and unusual story about making these Frontier Scallops. I hesitated to tell it and even share it, but when I searched online for this recipe, I found no one making it exactly the way I did.

In 2019, I had many flights, most of them on Frontier, and sometimes they served nice, soft scallops for dinner, which I really loved.

But I never thought I would make them at home one day. So, one time, I asked the flight attendant for the recipe. She was shocked, I believe no one had ever asked her about it before. She laughed and said she would ask, and later, when we were ready to land, she came and shared the recipe with me. However, it wasn’t the full recipe, just a hint about how I could make it at home.

Just from the ingredients she told me, I knew exactly how I would make it. So here I am, with these delicious Frontier Scallops that I’m sure many of you have tasted before and loved.

What to eat with these frontier Scallops?

Like any seafood meal, These Frontier Scallops also can be paired with a lots of easy sides, You can serve them with a lemony arugula salad or a creamy risotto, perhaps with Parmesan or garlic, For me I love it wth some butter like Crab Butter for a full seafood flavor meal, or with some French Fry Sauce on top sometimes, an don’t forget the mashed potatoes or roasted garlic potatoes, also a side of creamy corn chowder would be an excellent companion.

  • 1 lb fresh sea scallops
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

How to Make frontier Scallops?

Step 1:

Start by patting the scallops dry with a paper towel. Then, put a large pan on the stove. Turn the heat to medium-high. Add butter and olive oil.

Step 2:

When the pan is hot, place the scallops in it. Let them cook without moving for 2 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove them from the pan.

Step 3:

Turn the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Pour in chicken broth and let it for 1 minute.

Step 4:

Stir in heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Let the sauce for another minute.

Step 5:

Add lemon juice and parsley. Put the scallops back in the pan. Let them sit for 30 seconds in the sauce. Place the scallops on a plate. and enjoy.
